About Ceri Hutton

Ceri Hutton is a designer, mentor and management consultant for the creative industries specialising in culture transformation and marketing strategy.

He has over 15 years’ experience in the games industry, over 10 years’ experience in project & team management and holds a Global Executive Master of Business Administration from Monash University. He regularly delivers business strategy & leadership talks at conferences and universities across Australia and New Zealand. He has spoken at NZGDC, PAX and GCAP and worked with the University of Melbourne, SAE and Deakin.

Ceri is the founder and director of the SMART Program, a specialised mentorship and accelerator program for underrepresented and emerging game developers. He personally handles the content design, administration and execution of the program as well as delivering personalised career coaching and mentorship to all program applicants.

Ceri is also the design director of Deficit: The ADHD RPG, a Screen Australia funded ‘slice of life’ roleplaying game that authentically replicates the lived ADHD experience through utilising empathic design thinking methodologies and a raw unapologetic narrative.

Ceri was previously the general manager of The Arcade Melbourne, a co-working space specialising in video games and was the director of industry development & programs at the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA), the peak industry body representing video games in Australian and New Zealand where he designed and directed programs that met the needs of the ever-changing Australian games industry.
