CH Consulting is an independent management consulting service that supports game developers in securing investment for their games, taking on their top challenges and scaling their studios sustainability.
My goal is to empower creative visionaries by connecting their unique designs to a robust Go-to-Market strategy and solid business model that ensures their product can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
The Origin Story:
Over the last six years of working alongside game developers, the aspect that has provided me the most joy has been offering them guidance and advice on how they can better connect their design to their intended audience.
It all started when I was running The Arcade, a video game co-working space. One of the main focuses of my role was to manage the university student activation, and the open-plan hotdesking area. I loved popping in to play the latest builds of everyone’s games, and enjoyed the opportunity to provide feedback and insight to both students and experienced developers alike.
I found that my background in selling video games and organising gaming community events offered a unique perspective that I was able to share, which in turn helped developers better understand how their audiences engaged with their game.
As the years rolled on, I sharpened these skills through the two largest projects I directed, the Australian Game Developer Awards (the AGDAs) and the SMART Program, an early-career accelerator. Creating the bespoke judging system for the AGDAs gave me a deeper understanding of impactful design that resonates whilst mentoring developers in the SMART Program considerably improved my ability to offer helpful guidance.
Now having completed a Global Executive MBA at Monash, I am equipped with an array of commercialisation and business strategy frameworks that transform this guidance into effective strategic recommendations that will grow audiences, build studios, and unlock investment opportunities.
